It sure is a pen name. Working under another name allows me remove self-imposed limits on my creativity. It also helps me market my materials because I am more inclined to showcase the works of others rather than myself.
When I write it isn't to feed into my self esteem, or boost my own recognition, I do it because I love the process and I enjoy creating stories that I hope someone else will enjoy (or make you think of our world and our place in it).
So if you are reading this, thank you. It means a lot that you took the time to get to know me, and hopefully my work, a bit better.
And why the name K.S. MANDEVILLE?
It came to me in a dream. Honest-to-goodness, cross my heart and hope to die.
When I woke up I ran to a check if I'd seen the name somewhere else and it simply entered my subconscious, but no. Lo and behold, it was nowhere to be found.
Then I mulled over it for eight months. Yes, eight.
