At the Happy Mandrake, we publish books and support others on their creative endeavours. We are pervasive in our belief that technology should not take away joy, or humanity’s ability to create. 

We don’t save lives.
We aren’t changing the world.
But we might just change your mind.

What does the Happy Mandrake do?

Publish
We publish intentionally inclusive stories that make people think of our world, and our place within it, with more than a dash of romance and playful banter… because we can’t resist.

Consult
We support creatives through our consulting work. This includes supporting writers developing their work, grant writing, ghost writing, creativity and writing workshops, and writing-for-service.

While we may promote works of other writers and creatives in our network, we don’t develop marketing strategies.

What else should you know about us?

We also pay real people for their services, whether editors, designers, or marketers, so they too can pursue what they love.​​

If more people had the chance to be their full selves, doing what they are meant to, maybe the world will be a better place. 

Nothing makes us happier than supporting people doing what they love.

Publish

Though we also have a penchant for dark themes, and stories that run the spice gambit. 🌶️ Whether one chilli or five, we like to keep things interesting.
